Purpose.Toevaluateoffunctionalandcosmeticeffectivenessoflowereyelidslingtechniquewithfascialatagraftinpatientswithlagophthalmosduetofacialparalysis.MaterialandMethod.Tenpatientswithameanageof55.1±19.77yearswhounderwentlowereyelidslingsurgerywithafascialatagraftbetweenSeptemberandJanuarywereincludedinthisprospectivestudy.Preoperativelyandpostoperativelypatientswereevaluatedintermsofcornealepithelialdefects,Schirmer’stest,andtearbreak-uptime(TBUT).Cosmetically,verticaleyelidaperture,marginreflexdistances1and2(MRD1andMRD2)andscleralshowwereevaluatedpreoperativelyandpostoperatively.Results.Onepatienthadfacialparalysisontherightsidewhereastheother9patientshadfacialparalysisontheleftside.Preoperatively,3patientsweredetectedwithcornealulcer,whereas7patientsweredetectedwithpersistentcornealepithelialdefectslocalizedinthelowerhalfofthecornea.Inthe3patientswithpreoperativecornealulcer,
